St Francis Way
Via Francigena di San Francesco or Cammino di Francesco
After eight years in the corporate world in Abu Dhabi I am in a fortunate position where I can take time out to reflect and rejuvenate before moving home to Sydney.
Life presents many challenges and trying to find a balance between work, family and social can be sometimes difficult. All too often we do not make the time to stop, exercise, and catch up with friends and family. Most importantly take time out for ourselves.
Last year I lost my best mate, he was a master cramming as much into life as possible. He was fit, healthy and as a CFO of a top 100 company he was a successful career man, yet he was also a true family man. Unfortunately, he was taken from us too soon.
I have chosen to do a 30 day pilgrimage through Italy, walking 560 kilometres from Florence to Rome during the month of October over the Apennine Mountains following the footsteps of St Francis of Assisi. This walk is inspired somewhat by his adventurous nature.
And in honour of the great work Black Dog institute are doing in helping many families, corporate organisations and communities create awareness and support to deal with the pressures of life, I ask you to click on the link below to sponsor me for the walk raising money for this important cause.
